Some things deserve a second life.
Back on May 20, 2015 at 2:07pm PST, Armroom made its debut on the App Store as the first Armenian dating app built specifically for our community. At the time, there wasn’t much out there for Armenians in the diaspora. Small communities, large cities, different countries, same challenge. How do you meet someone who understands your culture, values, and sense of belonging?
Armroom was our answer.
Over the years, it was featured in articles across the web and became a familiar name for Armenians looking to connect. But as time passed, dating changed. Technology changed. Expectations changed. And honestly, we knew the app needed more than updates. It needed a reset.
So in 2025, we made a big decision.
We shut it down and rebuilt everything from the ground up.
New name.
New brand.
New product.
Same purpose.
Armroom is now Ari.
Ari is not a facelift. It’s a full relaunch. We started from scratch because we believed the Armenian community deserved something better. Faster. More intentional. More human.
We were the first because we knew this platform needed to exist. And today, our mission remains exactly the same. To create an authentic, go-to Armenian dating app for Armenians across the diaspora, whether you live in a tight-knit community or somewhere you barely hear Armenian spoken out loud.
Ari is built for real connections.
For culture without clichés.
For modern dating without losing what matters.
